Problems that may occur during the use of anti-static PET protective film
  1. Many customers of anti-static protective film have provided us with feedback on quality issues and hope that these problems can be resolved. However, the problems encountered by each customer are different, so it is necessary to analyze the problems before formulating solutions.

1. The issue of the static electricity protection film's stickiness might be due to insufficient pressure-sensitive adhesive or pressure, or the product surface not being clean enough, etc. It is necessary to replace the pressure-sensitive adhesive or adjust the pressure of the film application.

2. The static electricity protection film's edges lifting up at the later stage of use usually occurs when it is stretched too much under high temperature conditions. Pay attention to the environment and avoid stretching the protection film in a high-temperature environment.

3. If there is residual adhesive on the static electricity protection film, you can use a clean lint-free cloth dipped in alcohol to wipe it. Be careful with the force applied; excessive force may damage the product surface.

II. When using anti-static protective films, do you often encounter residual glue? Today, Okawa Shun will tell you the reasons for the residual glue.

First, human factors. Many people think that all protective films are the same and that any one can be randomly applied to the product. Anti-static protective films may seem simple, but they are not just a thin film; there is a lot of professional knowledge involved. For example, when applying the film in high temperatures, high-temperature resistant anti-static protective films should be used. When applying the film, the surface of the product to be protected should be free of grease and other chemical residues; otherwise, a chemical reaction may occur, causing the glue to come off.

Second, the reason for the glue. From the perspective of the residue of pressure-sensitive glue on the protected surface and the base material, the residual glue of anti-static protective films can be divided into three types:

1. Cohesive failure, where the coated surface of the anti-static protective film loses its luster.

2. Adhesive failure, where there is excess residual glue on the surface of the protected product.

3. Migration residue, where there is a small amount of pressure-sensitive residual glue on the surface of the protected product.
